For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Amanda (mandorac), and I’m Kathy’s cousin. You may also not know that Kathy has a full-time day job. For her to work full-time plus create one-of-a-kind masterpieces and teach others art and take care of her family, there is just no time for social media. And that’s where I come in. I’m helping Kathy get the word out about her Studio and her art. A lot of times we’ll talk and I’ll use her words of wisdom for a post here or a Tweet there.
I use social media daily, not only to help Kathy out but also for my own website at LifeCitation.wordpress.com, for my genealogy group East Central Indiana Genealogy Alliance, and the local historical society. In fact, Kathy gave me a really neat family tree poster-sized chart (16″ x 20″) to fill out and I’ll probably do so in her Studio because of the space and I want to work on my calligraphy.
Kathy really enjoys and excels at diversified art techniques, such as paper quilling and macrame. I feel more creative doing paper art than attempting to paint or draw and I hope to learn quilling soon! Kathy’s Studio is great for New Castle as she offers many different options for folks, along with traditional art styles. She also gives back to the community, donating her time and skills, for various projects.
